Yeah. There ARE critics who do sometimes seem to be taking the contrarian position just to get attention, but in my experience that's relatively rare. Usually, if a critic says they think a movie is bad, it's because that's their genuine and considered opinion.

And I should emphasize that I'm talking about professional critics, not YouTube reactionaries, because there's a LOT of contrarianism and performative outrage in that tent, but people who do that are to legitimate criticism as termites are to carpentry.
