Sorry you're hurt, we're all learning to cope with this particular pain. I believe it's necessary though, on some level. Now people are openly showing their true face, helping us confront our own blind spots and hero worship culture more broadly. Some good has to come out of it.

Yep. Recently-ish something similar happened to me with a youtuber I like. An ASMRtist, the most wholesome freaking thing in the world. Welp. Their social media was--- ufff. A lot. All at once lol. Their content doesn't reflect their views but I can't watch them anymore.
