Ben was one of my teachers at CCA in the Bay Area. We had some interesting conversations on the shuttle back from SF to Oakland. I love his poetry but haven't read any of his fiction (my wife has though) and get overwhelmed by how good his prose are ("The Hatred of Poetry").
Just had a chance to zoom in and read the passage. His use of language does feel like magic, how is the book?
This past month I was thinking about SpyHunter a lot, the peter gun theme music in my head. Maybe I should find a "let's play" of the game.
I'm still early but his mastery of language is on full display, the vividness of the imagery and the way it puts you inside the experience of the characters is very effective.
