Sometimes I read pieces about how pandemic life is affecting us collectively, and they talk about the things we're not doing that we will do again--seeing friends at raucous gatherings, etc.--and I'm like, "But I almost never did that, even before."

While many people talk about FOMO, I like to describe a sensation that has loomed over my life for much of the past several years as KOMO: knowledge of missing out. I KNOW I'm missing out, and I hate it, but I don't know how to rectify it, because the world is traumatizing.

Anyway I hope that somehow post-all-of-this I find more opportunities for genuine visibility and connection and community in the physical world out and about amongst other humans.
