And it's not that I haven't wanted to. Of course I have. I just have never found the right people with whom to do those things, not on any kind of ongoing basis. And it's complicated by my being illegible to so many as a woman in the world.

While many people talk about FOMO, I like to describe a sensation that has loomed over my life for much of the past several years as KOMO: knowledge of missing out. I KNOW I'm missing out, and I hate it, but I don't know how to rectify it, because the world is traumatizing.

Anyway I hope that somehow post-all-of-this I find more opportunities for genuine visibility and connection and community in the physical world out and about amongst other humans.

Yup. Rarely left the house in winter at all. I do miss going to the stores and not feeling like I’m getting stalked by the Grim Reaper tho.
