I'd say Mass Effect 3 but... that ending combined with the "Buy more DLC!" message at the end really soured the entire experience for me.

I'd pick Sleeping Dogs for sure. It's a real gem of a game that imo deserves to become a franchise and it's even more fascinating when you take into consideration the issues the game encountered during development. It had action, good characters and a rocking soundtrack.

OK, for a more serious answer, hands down it'd have to FTL. It's honestly one of my favourite games ever. It's got nice depth to it and its game mechanics are about the closest I'll get to playing a good Star Trek ship simulator.

Mass Effect 3. I didn’t have the perfect play through my first time and it broke me. I lost sleep for decisions and mistakes I made. For some reason that’s endearing to me...?

I definitely say Mass Effect 3 too. That's just my favorite game period. After the ending was fixed though. It was trash at first

I feel like making me pick between Dishonored and Journey should be an Amnesty International recognised hate crime

Journey was amazing, but I also love Forza Horizon so much. It captures the joy of "going for a drive" and having like - a really good time.

There are about half a dozen games here that I absolutely love (and a few that are overrated), but XCOM all the way.
