My space was very limited so I didn’t even mention the movement in the game, but the liberation of double-jumping my way up the island’s structures or deliberately jumping off cliffs to get to my destination faster was a big joy in these days of enclosure.

I'll never forget a few years ago seeing the creator of one of my favorite classic PC RPG series at GDC saying that games should draw on western myth/legend/etc to maximize appeal and be relatable to more players (ugh).
