Bernie Sanders proposed this exact thing two years ago and he was hailed as a progressive champion. Why is it suddenly no good?https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2019/01/14/bernie-sanders-to-push-15-minimum-wage-as-he-mulls-2020-presidential-run.html …

I'm trying to give people the benefit of the doubt. But it really feels like everyone is reading 15 by 2025 and assuming minimum wage isn't moving at all until then. It's wild though because the bill is only 2 pages, and very clear about yearly increases leading to it.

Okay but nobody is reading the last part. Indexing to the median wage keeps minimum wage viable from here on and the minimum begins increasing immediately and continues to increase yearly. This will absolutely help people.

If Senate Reps filibuster the bill, a supermajority would be needed. More likely to get moderate Reps onboard with a gradual increase. This is why we need to end the filibuster.

They seem to be more enthusiastic about voting for establishment Democrats than anyone you’ve supported
