lately for comfort i've been watching lots of old jeopardy clips on yt & this is an interesting one because whatever difficulty it might pose to contestants probably comes not from it actually being hard but from it being so easy that they don't think of the obvious right answer.pic.twitter.com/F0XHaCKBx0

similarly this strikes me as one that most people would know, it's just a question of whether or not you hit on it as you're trying to mentally race through languages with the clock ticking and the pressure on (no contestant came up with it)pic.twitter.com/vqunGEwCZo

Wow, the category on this one totally gives away the answer IMO:https://youtu.be/7dKSctMhol4

Also here's one that no contestant got right but that I got instantly, perhaps because I'm EXTREMELY ONLINE and this word comes up a lot here on the Twitters: https://youtu.be/AIefogknTR8

Does anyone know what answer for the first clue in this category the Jeopardy writers were going for? They accept "the fine print" but it seems they had something else in mind and I can't figure out what. https://youtu.be/PQC3IqYArB0

      The small print, maybe?

I guess so, though idiomatically I’ve heard “the fine print” far more in my life, seems strange to me that they would expect “the small print” which means the same thing but is less commonly used. But yeah, you’re probably right.

this was also the only idea i could come up with after looking at <https://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/print >, though i completely agree that it's pretty surprising they wouldn't expect "fine" pretty bad clue anyway, it's not that small & there should really only be one to avoid "fine prints" :p

Same here, it’s always “the fine print” when I hear it.
