$600 is going right to bills, not savings or anything like that. Just making sure I can keep on surviving.

whittling down my 5 figure debt with a single $600 payment
-
Imma take that $600 and pay off all my debt, go on vacation, maybe buy a beach house.. then put the rest in mutual funds. Smart.

Probably the worst part is if folks do save it instead of spend it, it means it won't actually work as a stimulus at all.
-
Actually, no, the worst part is that people don't have the money they need and this is a pittance compared to what is needed. I needed to use a different word there. Sorry.

@red_baiting@loriekonish definitely doesn't seem to understand how most people live. Given that she lives in New York City, was a managing editor of 'On Wall Street', went to Rutgers -and- Northwestern University, I'd be willing she grew up with some definite privileges. -
Given the average salary of a CNBC reporter is $75k a year, she definitely doesn't seem to understand how pathetic $600 as a ONE TIME check is to ANYONE. (In all honestly, luckily, I'm not in dire need of this check. OTHERS ARE THOUGH). Our government is a FAILURE.

Goes to show that the wealthy don't live in the real world like the rest of us, they live in a fantasy world completely devoid of any idea of the hardships of reality.

"Retirement savings" is adorable. It's like they think my retirement is going to be anything other than swinging a chain menacingly at the post apocalyptic bikers trying to raid my water supply.
