I can't answer that question but the question's coming from somewhere I understand very well so I hope you find a good answer.

Thank you, I appreciate that!

Sweetheart, that’s EASY..... jk. But your friend is in an excellent position to find that love, having created such a clear vision.

Thank you, I hope so, for her sake!

Not quite the same boat, as a cishet male, but I’d tell your friend she’s putting too many eggs in that imaginary basket. I had my first girlfriend at 25, ended up marrying and divorcing her, and comparing the next experiences (which haven’t been many) to the idea of her... 1/2

... which ruined those relationships. So I’d say she should lower her expectations about finding something perfect right away, and just try to find someone who’s just fun to be around, and hope everything will get better eventually. :) 2/2

The trick is for it to happen organically outside of a dating app because this sounds like eHarmony but for people who aren't, uh, as close-minded. Like at a book signing, a convention, a midnight screening, etc. Make friends first, then let it deepen. That's how I did it.
-
Yeah, organically is really the only thing that makes sense to me. But even making friends and being in situations where it can happen that way is no easy task. Still, I'll keep hoping and trying.
