One simple thing she says in a video that, while not a magic fix by any stretch, has been applicable & helpful for me, is to think of thoughts as thoughts. To explain: I was having some really intense fears lately, rooted in PTSD,& my mind would just spin out of control in terror

But the simple act of thinking, "Oh, I'm having those thoughts again, my brain is doing that thing again where it obsesses over these nightmare scenarios" can give me a bit of distance, and help me interrupt the cycle, or at least feel much less immersed in it.
