I'm curious, do you think that violent gameplay in a game that tries to be critical of violence is always meant as a condemnation of the player, or can it be used as a moment for characterization in the narrative without commenting on the player?

For me, I always viewed everything as a progression of how the narrative is commenting on Ellie. There wasn't a moment like in Spec Ops where the camera turns on the player and starts accusing them.
