What does journalistic "objectivity" even look like? You could argue, I suppose, that it looks like a dry recitation of facts. But then, how much do you emphasize or ignore factors and conditions related to those facts? How do you present those factors?

At a certain point (obviously it varies depending on the substance of individual stories but I'm talking about as a larger philosophy of how news is covered), it's inescapable that you're either normalizing social systems like white supremacy, misogyny, etc. or challenging them.
