I want an atmospheric game where I can like pick objects up and shit. Something immersive in that particular way. That's the good stuff that really makes me feel grounded in a game's world. What's the good immersive shit you're playing these days?

I was in a similar "IMMERSION" mood but instead of finding a better game I bought a steering wheel

This game. The eyes of Ara is really immersive IMO. It was done by one dude (I think, or maybe most of the game I dunno). The game gives sort of like a Myst/The Room kind of vibes. I really like it.pic.twitter.com/lHFzTAwYzj

When I feel that way, I revisit Gone Home.

Honest to god that was one thing I loved in Red Dead II that I wish to hell they had expanded more, because picking up photos, turning them over and reading the captions was like, easily a top 10 of my favourite things to do in that game instead of *playing the game*

I’ve been playing through RE7 VR, where you can do just that, but it still maintains my unbroken record of never actually enjoying a RE. I did just finish my first playthrough of Dragon Age 1, which was surprisingly immersive for an 11-year-old fantasy game with a generic story.
