LRT: "writer's fog" feels right. There's a part of my brain that is usually generating ideas I want to express and ways to express them when I do things like wash dishes, take showers, and so on, and I noticed the other day that that part of my brain seems to be mostly offline.

This sounds like a natural side effect of a prolonged anxiety attack like the one were living thru. The brain pushes all its energy to keep panic at bay, leaving no bandwidth for the usual.
