I haven’t looked at the TLOU2 leaks but reactions to them reveal there are still folks out there who think that stories about straight cis people are “neutral” but who can only conceive of stories about anyone else as “political,” agenda-driven, etc., (1/2)

I’m seeing several people arguing cause apparently there’s a trans character (I don’t know too much, trying to stay away from spoilers) I’m like… Ellie and Bill were both gay in the first. Why are you now complaining that there’s LGBT characters in this one?

Not that there's any excuse for such reactions but I suppose those bad actors might say you could more or less ignore those aspects in TLOU1 (not in Left Behind but in the core game) but that ND with their POLITICAL AGENDA is making that stuff WAY TOO IMPORTANT in the sequel.

While I am not trans, I ready your flustrations and I can get that. There needs to be more cool trans characters out there for people to see themselves more in the art they enjoy. I’ve always been of the Roger Ebert way, “it’s not what it’s about, it’s how it’s about it.”

Always loved that quote.
