Always frustrating to be reminded how many people today feel like criticism is about being "right" or "wrong" about things (or about generating or reinforcing hype) and not about a range of perspectives that can enhance our appreciation for a work or a medium.

Some of the most enriching reviews I've ever read have been negative reviews of films or games I've loved. Why are people so resistant to that nowadays? How do we do away with the limiting notions of what criticism should & shouldn't be that have accrued in the past few decades?
