Just for fun, one of my fave little details in the original that of course wouldn’t fit in Remake: this neon sign in the bar for TEXAS. Just, like, the concept or the feeling of Texas, I guess. Anyway it's true of lots of games but I think it's especially true of FF7R that the discussion won't even really take off until it's been out for a bit, players respond to it, & we can talk more fully & deeply about its choices, its (IMO) reliance on familiarity & nostalgia, etc.
