If I hadn't already played the hell out of Death Stranding, for me personally that game would sure be something right now. It grapples with crisis and adversity, but it's also stunningly beautiful, at times calm and soothing (IMO), with a mindful focus on managing little details.

I've gotten way back into No Man's Sky recently. Exploring planets infinitely less stressful than this one and setting my own goals at my own pace has been a great way to unwind. Also, I'm still obsessed with RimWorld, just because I always will be.

Oooooh, yeah, NMS sounds goooooood right now! And I should at least look into RimWorld a bit. Thanks Justin!

Last week I replayed the 2008 reboot of Prince of Persia. At the time of its release it was lambasted for being too far on the easy side. Turns out it was exactly what I needed these days - a leisurely stroll through a decrepit (but gorgeously rendered) world.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 feels great to dip in and out of and has such fun community vibes.

Even in Arcadia, by Phoebe Shalloway. Just trying to understand the introduction, a lobby before an exposition, has felt dense. But in a good way. I'm not used to this kind of games but they are open-minded.

Project warlock! A neat little retro shooter, permadeath but lives, roguelike but not procedural. It's weird!
