My feeling is that Sanders' positions on healthcare, Social Security, etc. would reach a lot of people who previously voted for Trump. I think a lot of Dems are so angry at Trump voters that they don't even want to think about the strategic importance of winning some over.

I'm deeply angry at Trump voters too. But wanting to win without the help of Trump voters or not at all is not a great strategy.

That's Bernie's whole sell to swing voters, he has a very specific appeal to Obama Trump voters because he's strongly in favor of healthcare and social security. They perceive Bernie as much further right than we do

In the past 40 years the democrats elected 2presidents. Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. Both were not the middle of the road, safe bet. Quite the opposite. When they appeared they broke barriers and garnered enthusiasm all around. Joe Biden will sink, like all the other safe bets.

I think if Biden is the nominee then that seals in Trump for a second term. There’s no way Biden can beat Trump and even if he did, I don’t see him as a good candidate to run the country for different reason.

Folks are not listening to reason about Biden, they're acting out of fear. You gotta make Bernie look as boring as possible to get through to them
