I mean, I'm confident that there's a number of things I could do in games on the corporate side with a bit of training, and I am keeping my eyes peeled for gigs like that, but, yeah, there isn't exactly a road map for career path of a 43-year-old trans former game critic. Ha ha.

Thank you so much! And I do have a ko-fi where folks can kick a few bucks my way if/when they feel so inclined. https://ko-fi.com/carolynpetit https://twitter.com/o_Thomaz/status/1226660473447362563?s=20 …

Tell me about it. Being 37 switching from IT to a career in psychology. It's hard to make the switch. Not least because I have to return to uni. Maybe write a book? Lean into podcasting? Writing in games perhaps?

Definitely looking for writing-in-games gigs, but of course those are few and hard fought-over. And I'd love to write a book but need something to pay the bills in the meantime. Thanks for the support, and I wish you all the best with your career leap as well!
