In the break room at the job, there's one of those little Arcade1Up Street Fighter II cabinets, and the other night, a coworker asked me to play. I was Ryu, he was Ken. He asked me how I was throwing fireballs. I explained the motion to him but he couldn't do it. (1/4)

Some men are replying saying they would do the same thing I did, not challenge the guy, and I get that. Perhaps more pertinent is that VERY few women I've known would have the confidence/arrogance to assert that if they couldn't throw a fireball, it simply must not be possible.

I understand what you are saying in general. But I'd have probably done the same thing here and I'm a 6'1", 200lb cis guy. My usual thought process is "is there any reason I need to embarrass this person by proving they are wrong?" If no, like this case, I let it slide.

Depends on the subject AND the person but I usually just agree with who and whatever to move on. If it’s a friend, or I’m proud of my knowledge on the subject I’ll press it and leave it at their feet. No he definitely does. You’re probably doing something wrong or the machine is
