I work my first night shift on Monday (8 PM-5 AM); if anyone has pointers for prepping my body for this adjustment beyond just trying as much as possible to stay up through the night and sleep during the day, I'd be appreciative!

Did night shifts 5 days a week for 3 months one winter. Always felt like the biggest help was meals. Light “breakfast” when I woke, big lunch to get through the hump and light snack before bed in the morning. You may tend to have “you” time in 2 parts - after work and before work

Eating has a huge affect on your body's internal clock. I worked nights for nearly 3 years (6pm-6am) finding a meal schedule and sticking to it makes a big difference. As a heads up it took me a should month before it felt normal so be kind to yourself.
