Was recently talking to a friend about my job search and said I'm much more comfortable applying to positions where I know I'll be helping someone else realize their vision. You tell me what *you* want & I'll do everything I can to help make that happen. "I'm a Sam, not a Frodo!"

A different friend attributes this to my being what she considers a true Virgo. Virgos want to be helpers, she says. But, anyway, point being that I'm extremely motivated to help others accomplish their goals but pretty uncomfortable with the idea of being in charge of anything.

Replying to @carolynmichelle
I've found my discomfort in leadership roles has had more to do with overly punitive outcomes that others have tied to my actions. What they are actually doing is trying to justify their own bigoted behavior. The feeling that it's safe to make a mistake is a privileged one.
