I work my first night shift on Monday (8 PM-5 AM); if anyone has pointers for prepping my body for this adjustment beyond just trying as much as possible to stay up through the night and sleep during the day, I'd be appreciative!

Yeah in my field most try to catch some zzzzs at work during those shifts. Lol. Just have to condition yourself to sleep during the day. I know it’s hard with the sun out and daytime noises.
