Was recently talking to a friend about my job search and said I'm much more comfortable applying to positions where I know I'll be helping someone else realize their vision. You tell me what *you* want & I'll do everything I can to help make that happen. "I'm a Sam, not a Frodo!"

Anyway, the friend I told this to recently said this in response: "You say you're a Sam but Sam became mayor after returning to The Shire!"

Then, referring to all the things I've been through publicly, he said, "In a way you have been to Mount Doom, stared square into the eye of Sauron. You know the landscape well! Hell, you've encountered far more orcs than most and survived."
