People are actually arguing that JOKER is some great leftist film that argues in favor of social services for the poor and underserved? How, by suggesting that poor people who struggle with mental illness are ticking time bombs of savage violence?pic.twitter.com/D4nZ1UsvRg

This just proves that sometimes features in a movie's story is just there to make it interesting while in order to move the plot along. That being said, I never understood the Joker hysteria, neither the anti nor pro. It's just a movie made by the Road Trip guy.

If there's ever going to be a 30th year anniversary bluray/dvd-type commentary, it will be more about the reaction to the film than the film itself.

I definitely don't think it's a must see so you're fine not watching it IMO, but if you do decide to watch it, I think Joaquin's performance is very interesting, and I like the overall look of the film, even if I don't love the film itself.
