I know it’s silly sometimes the things that bum me out but today I saw someone say the stop motion effects in Robocop “don’t hold up well” and like can’t you have a sense of wonder for what they accomplished then (and how) rather than judging everything against modern CGI?

What I object to more than anyone’s lack of interest in older stuff is the collective arrogance with which it’s sometimes viewed. Like when theaters show classic films & ppl go to watch them thru a lens of cultural superiority, laughing ironically at how “silly” things used to be
