With episode four, The Mandalorian sacrifices coherence and character entirely in favor of deploying reliable, familiar (but weak and misplaced) trope-y moments such as "that thing where two characters on the same side fight with each other upon first meeting instead of talking."
Just because the plot explains its use of an overly familiar, unnecessary excuse to toss in a fight scene, that doesn't make it GOOD. And lol no. Engaging with female representation in media isn't that rudimentary and simplistic, like "as long as women beat men sometimes, WIN!"
