How do they enforce those? What could they do to me, a consumer, if I wrote a review about the game?
-
They could send Sonic to your house to eat all your snacks.

They don't enforce consumer reviews, it's just for the trade... and they've moved the embargo to the 19th now.
-
They shouldn't be able to impose such an embargo at all IMO. The moment of release should be, I think, the final reasonable moment for an embargo on press or anyone else.

The last game I can think of to do this was Assassin’s Creed: Unity. It became pretty clear why that was once the reviews were out.

Embargo lifts everywhere today (the 19th) as in it’s not in place anymore
