Every generation’s favorite films eventually become sneered at by younger generations. This will happen with recent superhero films too. And they made so much money that they can never be considered cultural underdogs, so reclamation may be difficult. Interesting times ahead.

Of course in another 10 years I’m sure we’re going to see a flood of thinkpieces like “You know what movie was never properly appreciated? Endgame“ and one of the last five remaining media outlets will publish it because it only has one editor.
