I’ve always strongly felt that the point of reading great criticism, and whether or not you get something out of it, has little if anything to do with whether or not you agree with it.

True! I always read his work of movies which, some of which I’ve enjoyed greatly yet he detests. If it does not change my mind, it gets me thinking of the movie in a different way.
