But there’s something of a responsibility there on your part. A game like Butterfly Soup deserves to have a stand taken for it, for a site to say “This is important and worthy of coverage” even if a large portion of readers don’t give a fuck.

Maybe it does, and if someone on staff feels that way they are entirely free to write that piece. I don't think it's fair, though, to expect the directive to seek out and cover a specific niche visual novel to come from the top.
