TBH, recording a podcast convo about OUATIH was tough for me, because there are so many angles from which I want to talk about that film, ways in which I want to condemn it, ways in which I appreciate and admire it... (1/3)

I definitely didn't read that we were supposed to think he was a good guy for a killing his wife. The guy starts off as a jackass, him killing his wife is a bad thing. He gets into a pissing contest with Bruce Lee and then ruins the car of the person who had just given him a 1/2

Chance. Him killing his wife was a fairly significant conflict in the movie not just like a Family Guy cutaway. He tries to redeem himself by protecting others in the end. And it's not like the violence in the end wasn't Justified, they were literally trying to kill them all.
