This is something i usually decide before I start playing. I like the idea of keeping consequences, but it's also a game... So, which will be more fun for you?

As long as losing her doesn’t make the game considerably more difficult and just set me on a path to failure, I’d rather live with the consequences.

I think for me up front I am just making a decision beforehand: either I will always (or pretty much always) freely reload everything to save everyone, OR I will ironman it and just never reload for anyone. leaning towards the second

Cuz the thing is, the game already has a little bit of save-scumming built in with the rewind. So like if someone dies even with that, maybe it's meant to be?

I had weird issues with movement in that battle- for some odd reason I couldn’t move characters out of a chokepoint. I almost lost a character but rewinded and got lucky.

Basically everyone resets in Fire Emblem, it's the series' guilty secret. (Also tactics games solved it by inventing bleedout a quarter of a century ago, but watch FE do everything but that to provide a solution).

There is the divine pulse skill to turn back time, it’s apart the game so no guilt using it but also, play it how you want because who cares if you reset
