Saw a (white) streamer on Twitch's front page this morning, he was playing Dauntless and talking about the difficulty of some aspect of it and then he put on an affected, stereotypical Japanese (?) accent and started saying "Ex-prain the difficulty, please ex-prain." Hilarious.

I work in an office environment. Our inbound care team are in India. I hear this shit around me constantly. I am so tired of calling people out daily and seeing zero growth.

Ugh, I know. Having to be that person is such a drag. Sorry you have to put up with that garbage.

It's exhausting. But I'd rather have to make the criticism everyday than become someone who doesn't care about a better world.

I'm much too worried about making waves at my office to call out the racist or misogynistic things they say. My anxiety keeps me from being the person I want to be. I'm ok with that though, cause it makes me so much more aware and appreciative of the people who do stand up.

It's quite all right. Many of us are in situations where we can't speak up without making ourselves targets of retribution. We all have to find the ways in which we can push back or support others who do so. None of us can do everything.

Thanks for the kind words. I've accepted it but it still weighs on my heart sometimes. I can't imagine fighting for things like this online while having a following like you do. That special mix of gamers and misogyny must be real crappy to deal with.

At times it is too much. There are periods when things flare up and, for my own mental and emotional health, I need to step away for a while.
