I agree, and I'm also glad you acknowledge that it's far worse in other places, since I've often encountered activists reluctant to do so. We've countless things in need of fixing - I live in the UK and it's hardly rosy here either - but I also think we should be grateful.

We can be grateful that things aren't even more unjust than they are and still fight tooth and nail for them to be more just.

1) You can't solve a problem if you conceptualize it the wrong way. It's just not sufficient to be "against racism/sexism", you have to be also honest with your analysis. 2) Yes, it does, because humans don't naturally exist in some utopia were everything is great.
