There's tons of books about patriarchal systems and the impact they have on our lives every day--these are real things that actually do exist--and "this guy" was the one who first quote-tweeted *me*, by the way--but sure, you're free to believe whatever you want.
The burden of proof should absolutely be on those who somehow still believe that "western society" is NOT, as a whole, sexist, racist, and a whole lot of other fucked up shit.

"as a whole"? No. You've just established that things are less than perfect, which isn't disputed. You have all your work ahead of you presenting something that is meaningful and testable, and then demonstrating it.

Also, I'm told all the time that the burden was actually on the nonbeliever due to things that so *obviously* confirmed a creator. But just as biology taught us that the appearance of design is explained without a designer, so too do social issues often have hidden causes.

Compared to what exactly? An imaginary utopia? And no, until now you've not proven anything. It's just the same old "I'm right, you've to prove me wrong"-nonsense I've seen from religious fanatics. Btw: You're part of the most privileged 0.1% that's ever lived. Just saying.
