Happy 30th Anniversary to Last Crusade, absolutely the blandest and least interesting of the Indiana Jones movies, yet the one perhaps most widely considered the best for who knows what reason!
Well, technically yes, but it's not really widely thought of that way. It's not like the plot of one feeds into or sets up another. They're mostly stand-alone adventures and Temple of Doom happens to take place prior.

Also I think Temple of Doom is a bad movie, front to back. I even think@it’s worse than Crystal Skull.

I wouldn't call it good. In some ways it's rephrehensible. But I appreciate that it sets out to fuck you up. Last Crusade, for better or worse, feels like a genteel pleasure cruise in comparison.
