Sean Connery was fun in it. It was well-made. Uhhhhhhhh

These things are both true. It was a pleasant, competently made adventure film with lots of amusing, endearing moments. It’s good for what it is. I like my Indiana Jones movies to be something more deeply stirring. (Also, needless to say, this is all merely my opinion.)

That's my second favorite of the <checks notes> *three* Indy movies!

While the fourth is my least favorite, Karen Allen absolutely rocks it in Crystal Skull. She's the redeeming feature of it for me.

Lol I mean.... aren’t they all kind of.... bad? The character is fun but I can’t really watch them anymore with all the isms >.<

It’s complicated. I think Raiders is simultaneously one of the most brilliant adventure films of all time in terms of thrills, inventiveness and cinematic greatness, and also super racist, colonialist, etc.

I think it’s funny and fun and should have been the only sequel to raiders. Which also didn’t need a sequel.
-
It IS the only sequel. Temple of Doom is a prequel.

The chemistry between Ford and Connery is what made it for me. Indiana's reaction here to his perennially unimpressed father gets me every time.https://youtu.be/ilV5Qt01eyc?t=102 …
