If we're in that nuanced grey-area, I think Villanelle is wholeheartedly more comparable to Hannibal (from, like, Hannibal—like, Mads-Hannibal), so I sort-of question if her morality really matters in context of her arc. Like Hannibal, yeah, bad, but also she's more than that...
Of course, these things are very complicated. I'm not saying it's simple, and exploring that complexity is important. I'm just wondering whether, on balance, it's "good" or not, in terms of moving the cultural needle.

Yeah, I think we're very much on the same team there, as it were. It's a big and nuanced question, and I always appreciate your take. I think we, as a culture, experience a lot of cognitive dissonance around these stories, and that's also intensely interesting to think about.
