Even when art is supremely disappointing or infuriating--be it the end of ME 3 or the end of GoT--you don't get to bend it to your will! Accepting that art will sometimes let you down, make you angry, or leave you feeling betrayed is part of having a healthy relationship w/art.

You're using the word 'demand'. Would it sound better if we used the word 'request'? Because I see a lot of that in circumstances like this. People love their favourite story and they want it to be good. And if there's a possibility it can reach its full potential...1/2

...then people will go for that. It reminds me of how fan pleading is what finally got us the 2 part special for Farscape that effectively wrapped up the story. Wasn't a great end, bu better than the cliffhanger we got. Without vocal fans, we'd never have got that.

Last night I read through a list of popular media that disappointed audiences over the last decade. It's pretty much every major TV thing from Lost to Dexter, from HIMYM to Castle. Audiences are global. Ppl are more vocal about they hate than what they love 1/2

Idk if there is any series with a decade-long run that would ever be finalized if every ending had to be changed. I'm not into GOT, but I've been let down plenty of times. It's good that audiences are weighing in, sure, but I see a lot of ways that this can go wrong
