My theory is that "Skywalker" will turn out to be referenced in the old Jedi books. That it is not a person but the name of the merger between dark side and the light (Jedi/Sith). a Balanced union going forward, now two opposing entities. So Jedi/Sith fall & Skywalkers rise.

That would be tremendous.

What if it's revealed that you, the audience, were Skywalkers all along?
-
That could result in so many people whining about things then, like how they're not on the Jedi Council or have to wait until after the harvest

Kylo Ren is a Skywalker literally in the middle of a *rise* to power. Another theory is that ‘Skywalker’ could be the title that Rey’s new generation of Force-Users go by. Lotta potential meanings.

Force Ghost Luke swoops in and adopts Rey, and she takes the Skywalker name.
-
Oh! OH! I know! It's a typo! It's actually "The Reys of Skywalker", and it's about all the Reys from that trippy Force mirror scene in Last Jedi.

I think Skywalker is going to become an honorary title given to what Jedi shall become.
