I think raising the issue is enough for a writer on the outside to do. It's up to those on the inside to change things.

This isn't really raising the issue? And this is someone who can afford to raise the issue in a more assertive manner and with reach that someone like me can't, but it's spent being a petulant child who just learned how to drop f-bombs pining for New Games Journalism.

I’m sympathetic to frustrations re: game reviews but, as some point, calling individuals out for “not being critical enough” conveniently sidesteps bigger structural issues of how that criticism is edited, the timeframes (and payment) for completion, etc. It’s kind of insulting.
