It's wild how, with each passing year since the first episode was released, Kentucky Route Zero has come to feel even more desperately necessary. It feels prophetic, in ways I really wish it didn't, but I am so grateful for its existence.

Replying to @carolynmichelle
I need to replay it. First time through I liked it but it seemed weird for weird's sake. But enough people like you have suggested there is more to it, so I need to take a second look.

It's magical realist but I really think it works to create a vision of America that feels like our dreams of this country colliding with the very real economic injustices and fears working-class people constantly have to deal with.
