That was his effort at bipartisanship because he was trying to govern for all. You seem to imagine I'm not mad at Dems for their failings, I am. I simply understand that they're the only viable alternative and thus if I was an American I'd be in the trenches with them changing

You know what they say about assumptions. Hey, I don't want Republicans running the country any more than you do. I just realize that putting the same people back in control who allowed for their rise in the first place is not a winning strategy.

Whereas I see the answer as changing the Dems into a more Centre-Left party from inside, and acknowledging all the issues they face given their base is heavily disenfranchised, rather than practically campaigning against them.

Establishment Dems are paid by their donors to be a center right party. In what possible reality would they ever implement center left policies?

People have been trying to reform the Dems for decades now. The donors own the party lock stock and smoking barrel. They're never letting go of that control.

I don't think you realize just how bought the Dems are. They'd rather lose to Republicans than do what their base wants. That's why we have Republicans running the country right now. If they actually did what their base wanted, they'd never lose.
