I left my Switch Pro Controller at a friend's place so I tried playing Fortnite with the Joy-Con Grip and it felt so gross and wrong.

So you would say that the pro-controller is a must? (Am in the process of buying a swtich as we speak).

Most of my Switch use is in handheld mode, but to me, for docked playing on a TV, yes, a pro controller (or perhaps some third-party alternative, I'm not familiar with those) is a must. The Pro Controller is quite good IMO, but also, the Joy-Con Grip is just so bad.

OK, thanks! Joy-Con Grip looked very cramped, but in saying that I have tiny baby hands so maybe it won't be too terrible. I am quite fond of proper dedicated controllers though so... *shrugs*

Yeah, it's entirely possible you'll find that the Grip feels just fine for you! Hope you enjoy the Switch, I think it's a great console!
