I get a good amount of comments from guys who are disappointed, even angry, that I am not more attractive to them, and I'm really concerned that perhaps they have not heard of porn or know where to find it? Why do you wanna jerk off to a video game news show??

Hoo boy, isn't that fun? LOL my first time appearing on video, there were comments saying that the site had betrayed their "customers" by hiring a woman who they didn't consider "hot." The culture of entitlement is real. (Also you are very pretty of course, I hope you know that.)

Thank you!
I think it's ridiculous how entitled some of these guys are to seeing a pretty face--and while I think I can be pretty cute, it's not my job to be, and it's so funny how many commenters think it is.3 replies 0 retweets 24 likes -

Yeah, they've had media in general and games culture in particular telling them for a long time that the primary role of women is to be attractive to them, not to be full human beings valued for our perspective, our opinions, our writing, etc. And this is the result.

Some days that weighs on me a lot more heavily.

If it’s any comfort, the best thing we can do is keep existing in these spaces as women who are here to be valued as actual people, for our knowledge, insight and perspective. It sure ain’t easy, but you’re doing great.
