You’re right, STEM does need to become a less sexist, male-dominated field, and we need to start telling young girls that they can be anything: scientists, engineers, game developers.

It's a more complicated problem than simply to say STEM is sexist. There's lots of reasons why women don't choose STEM careers or feel unwelcome in STEM workplaces. Many are working to address this. Examining representation in video games is just one small part of that.
